Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9/2/2026

This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only. Once you become a client, your clinical records are governed by different and stricter rules — see “Clinical records” below.

Who this is

This site is operated by IFAMarketing LLC on behalf of Vineel Krishan Maharaj, LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist in California (license #123091).

Questions about this policy: vineel@traumatherapymenlopark.com

What this site collects

Information you give us. If you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your preferred time to be contacted, and how you heard about the practice. That’s it.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from. This is used to understand how the site is being used and to keep it working.

What this site does not collect

This site does not ask for health information, and we ask that you not provide any.

The contact form deliberately has no field for describing symptoms, diagnoses, what you’re seeking help for, or your medical history. If you include that information anyway, we’ll handle it carefully, but the form isn’t built for it and isn’t the right place for it. That conversation belongs on a phone call.

We do not use advertising trackers, session recording, or third-party chat tools on this site. Specifically: no advertising pixels, no heat-mapping or session-replay software, and no embedded chat widgets.

Why we collect it

Contact form information is used for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and arrange a consultation call.

Automatically collected information is used to understand site traffic and diagnose technical problems.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not send marketing emails to people who fill out the contact form.

Who we share it with

We use third-party service providers to run the site and manage inquiries. They may process your information on our behalf, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

  • Website hosting: namecheap
  • Contact form and inquiry management: highlevel
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, if enabled

We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to protect someone’s safety.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies necessary for it to function. If analytics are enabled, additional cookies may be set to measure site usage.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and through the consent banner when it appears. Declining non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

Your privacy rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. We honor these regardless of whether we’re legally required to:

Right to know. You can ask what personal information we’ve collected about you, where it came from, why we have it, and who we’ve shared it with.

Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we’ve collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.

Right to correct. You can ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.

Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there’s nothing to opt out of — but the right exists.

Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We don’t collect sensitive personal information through this site.

Right to non-discrimination. We won’t treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, email vineel@traumatherapymenlopark.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we’ll respond within the timeframes the law requires.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you’d like written confirmation of that, or want to submit a request anyway, email vineel@traumatherapymenlopark.com .

How long we keep it

Contact form inquiries are retained for 12 months, then deleted, unless you become a client — in which case retention is governed by clinical record requirements rather than this policy.

Analytics data is retained according to highlevel’s standard retention period.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information submitted through this site, including encryption in transit.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please don’t send sensitive information through the contact form.

Clinical records are separate

This policy applies to the website. It does not apply to therapy.

If you become a client, your clinical records are protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, and the confidentiality obligations that apply to licensed therapists in California. Those protections are considerably stronger than this policy.

You’ll receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices covering clinical records at intake.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Links to other sites

This site may link to other websites. We aren’t responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy doesn’t cover them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
